Blog Tour Double Review, Teasers & Giveaway ~ Perfect Ruin by Nashoda Rose

Perfect Ruin by Nashoda Rose
Genre: Erotic Romance
Release Date: December 14, 2015

The New York Times Best Selling author Nashoda Rose is back with the much anticipated story of Kai and London in the Unyielding series.

There is nothing I care about.
No attachments.
No connections.
Outwardly, I’m a perfect gentleman.
Until my target sees my knife.
I fear nothing, not even death.
In my world, death is considered a privilege.
But my life comes with unbreakable cruel strings and
when I met her, I should’ve walked away.
I didn’t.
I was too selfish.
And that sealed her fate.
Because one week with me led her into the hands of ruin.

We all have unique layers that make up who we are.
What makes us vulnerable or strong.
What we fear and what excites us.
But peel back those layers and you’re left naked and exposed.
They did that to me.
Each piece was slowly stripped away then burned.
I merely existed.
But there was one layer they overlooked.
The most important of them all—the tie to one man.
The man responsible for me being this way.
The man who found me.
And the killer who would do anything to protect me.

Perfect Ruin is the dark erotic story of Kai and London.
Their beginning.
And the continuing story of Vault.

Must be read in order:
Perfect Chaos (Unyielding, #1) Deck and Georgie
Perfect Ruin (Unyielding, #2) Kai and London
Perfect Rage (Unyielding, #3) Connor’s story

5 – To Hell and Back, Again & Again – Stars
~this review MAY CONTAIN minor spoilers~

Never thought I'd give a fuck who Vault tortured, manipulated, or conditioned because I'd been one of them. But London changed that. She changed everything.

I can freely admit I have been fascinated by Kai for a very long time. He intrigued me as much as he scared the hell outta me and he has always been a giant mystery – one I was more than ready to unwrap, even if I was terrified to. Nothing ever shakes him, nothing ever cracks his ultra-cool veneer... until London. Unfeeling, sometimes cruel, often heartless – for the first time someone pulls some emotion out of him he thought long buried. And she pays the price for it. But what happens when you try to destroy the one person a killer cares about – all hell breaks loose and Kai is at the center of it.
After the way Perfect Chaos left off, I was climbing the walls waiting to see where this series was gonna take us next and I was NOT disappointed. After the explosive prologue, we actually jump back in time four years and experience Kai and London's relationship from the beginning. We get to see first hand just how deeply London gets under his skin, we get to meet the girl we have only known as Raven before now (Tear Asunder Series) and see what made her into the broken down girl she has become. We also get to experience her struggles to adapt to the world after being freed from the sex slave trade, and Kai fighting to bring back the girl who first captivated him. It was intense, rough, dirty and plain old harsh. If you have any kind experience with this author's work, than you know she does an amazing job at pushing your boundaries and this book was no different. This is not a sunshine and rainbows romance – it's dark, violent and bloody. Any hope you have at these two finding any kind of peace and happiness frequently gets beaten out of you but I have never met a stronger female lead than London. This woman has been to hell and back, countless times, and she's still standing – but she doesn't do it alone. Kai took me by complete surprise, in a very good way. He is just as dangerous as I have come to expect, but that man does a hell of a job protecting and avenging what's his. Hell hath no fury like a trained killer scorned and when Kai is pissed, no one better get in his way. Now, this is a Dark erotic romance, so you can expect some crazy hott sexy times. I love a man who can do dirty talk and Kai is a master. We get to spend some time with Georgie, Deck and his boys – which was AWESOME, I can't get enough of that crew. The mystery that is Tristan gets unwrapped and the Connor situation takes another heartbreaking turn. I am dying to see where his story takes us. From start to finish this book – hell, this series – has had my full attention with little to no down time and we are once again left drooling and desperate for more. It wasn't a cliffhanger for Kai and London – but for the series in general. It's obvious there is so much more to come and I can only imagine it's gonna continue to be a rough ride, one I'm ready to jump on.

You won't always be able to break free, London. That's reality. But if you can't, know that I'll always come for you. Don't ever forget that. You need to know that.”
I do know. But you're not God, Kai. Even if you think you are.”
“True. But I'm the closest you'll ever get to the big man.”

"You're my rainbow. The brilliant colors of you make me whole. Without your colors, I'm just a man living in the dark."

Have since I was sixteen and my world fell into chaos. But I found a way to endure, or rather it found me. Now I’m a prisoner of my own doing, hiding behind a false mask so no one sees the truth. Not even the man I want but can’t have—Deck. But I messed up and the lies are spilling over, out of control.
Deck is unrelenting and will settle for nothing less than the truth. He demands everything from meEVERYTHINGeven if it rips me apart.

I kill for a living.
Unyielding—It’s how I survive in my line of work. I bend people to my will…except Georgie.
But that ends now.
I've played her game for far too long. Now it's time we play mine.

5 – Dark, Dangerous & Deadly Sexy – Stars
~this review MAY CONTAIN minor spoilers~

He was my grim reaper when it came to having a love life of any kind, but I couldn't help my bodies reaction to him; it had always been that way. Love can't be stopped. I should know. I'd been living with him wrapped around my heart since I was sixteen. Even when my life changed into something that wasn't real, my feelings for Deck never faltered.

I have been a fan of this author ever since she brought Sculpt into my life many many moons ago and I've never looked back. In fact, she could even lay claim to being the one who first put me on the highly addictive, twisted path of the dark erotic romance genre and books like this remind me why. This marks the beginning of a new series and while it's not completely necessary to have read the 'Tear Asunder' series first – you do get the groundwork for Georgie, Deck, Kai & London's (Raven) characters in there, now we just get to dive a whole lot deeper. The time frames also overlap a bit. I've always loved Georgie, from the beginning that girl has cracked me the hell up – only now we learn what she hides beneath the surface and boy is it a doozy. She just proves the whole 'you can't judge a book by it's cover' theory. No way could you ever guess the struggles this girl faces day to day without getting inside her head, or just how strong and resilient she really is. She has never hidden the fact that she wants Deck, but until now, I never realized the true depth of her feelings or understood how deeply his constant rejections cut her. Now Deck has always been a bit of a mystery – a badass, sexy, tattooed mystery. Dark and dangerous, he's the guy you call when you need shit done, but he's always been so... detached. Never really shows any emotion other than anger and he's incredible at inducing fear, but I always knew there was much more to him than what he lets others see. I was not wrong. He is just as deadly as I've always known him to be, but he has a definite soft spot, a certain vulnerability, when it comes to Georgie that he hides so well even HE forgets it's there sometimes. Fierce and protective – to the extreme, but when he loves, he loves hard – not to mention he's a dirty-talkin, filthy animal in the sack – so, bonus. Kai is still a total unknown. That man shows NOTHING on the surface, but his hard as hell shell is starting to crack and I am dying to get inside his head – we get a brief sneak peek in here, but it only made me desperate for more. London's story is breaking my heart and we have only gotten small bits up until now. Spending time with Deck's men was fun, if not a little scary. They are all just as badass as Deck, if slightly less intimidating – except maybe Vic. They are all extremely loyal and definitly people I would want to have my back. Tanner caught me totally my surprise, as well as Tristan, and be prepared for an ending that will have you begging for more. While I was left in a state of lust-fueled happiness where Deck and Georgie are concerned, it does still leave us with a cliffhanger that easily lets us know that this story is far from over. I cannot wait to see where we go from here. One thing is for sure – it's gonna be rough and messy and I have no idea who's gonna be left standing when the dust settles.

Georgie was the good in me. Without her, I was sure I'd sink into the darkness of my mind and never emerge. She gave me the light to keep coming back. To crawl away from the evil I was surrounded by, the nightmares, the coldness, and she made me human again. She kept bringing me back here-to her.
