It’s my best shot. Only one of us is walking away from this and right now my upper hand is that Marcus thinks it will be him.”
Dennis stepped off the cage and blew out a long breath. “She doesn’t know, does she?”
No. It’s for the best. Ana thinks we’re planning how we move forward on this together.”
Over the last couple of weeks, the pieces of the puzzle had slowly been slotting into place, and more and more I was realizing it was something set into motion a long time ago.
If shit goes south, I need to know you’ll protect her. Even if it means getting her out of Chastity Falls. She’d never leave if I asked her to, she’s stubborn and she thinks we’re in this together.”
I hated lying to Ana, but it was better for her to draw her own conclusions than for me to admit that only one of us could walk away from this—Marcus or me. It would crush her. I couldn’t do it to her. To us.
You know I will, but does it have to go down like this?” Dennis’ Adam’s apple bobbed and the desperation in his voice caught me off guard. “Is there no other way? Maybe we could go to someone for help?”
Scrubbing a hand through my hair I leaned back against the lockers and said, “This is the only way. We both know it. This is exactly the way Marcus planned it.”
The door swung open and the rest of the team filed in. I threw Dennis a look that I hope conveyed my gratitude.
I owed him my life.
I just hoped I didn’t have to pay up.

You're not going to walk away, are you?”
“I can't. You know I can't. Marcus wouldn't accept that, not now.”
But it was more than that. I couldn't. Walking away wasn't an option, which meant I was about to start on a path there might be no coming back from.

Ok. Momma is gonna have to be vewy, vewy, caweful with this review. There has been so many secrets, deceptions, and surprises just leading up to this book, and it just keeps going and doesn't even kinda slow down til the very last freakin page, and even then we're left with our heads throbbing. I have a bad habit of letting spoilers slip whenever I start going off on a rant about a book I get obsessed with, and this entire friggin series has become an obsession, so I think my best bet is to keep this short and sweet. So. Here goes...

First off, let me start by saying – if you haven't read the first two books DO NOT even attempt to start this book. Hell, don't even read this review. So much happens from the first book to this one, you will absolutely be lost if you don't read them in order. Besides, it is one hell of a series and you would be missing out if you don't read it all.

Moving on...
When we last left Chastity Falls, Braiden was out and Jackson was in. After Ana told him of her suspicions surrounding his fathers death, he has one thing on his mind – vengeance. He's mad as hell and completely destroyed by the fact that the man he has considered family his ENTIRE life could betray him like he has. So he does the only thing he can, makes it his mission to bring down Marcus Donohue from the inside – at ANY cost, but will he lose himself or Ana in the process?

I'd kissed the girl in my arms at her most fragile, I'd pieced her back together with my lips and then tore her down again with my words and actions. I'd kissed her good morning, good night... and goodbye. Too many times, I'd kissed her to erase the pain or fear of what was to come.

If you're under the misconception that things will start to get easier for our favorite couple now that they are TOGETHER and out in the open with their relationship – You. Would. Be. WRONG. Things are more dangerous and complicated than ever, and the strain this puts on their relationship is clear for everyone to see. They love each other with all that they have, that much is obvious, but is it enough? Jackson is in way over his head, buried under grief and so much anger it will choke you, and instead of leaning on those around him – the few that he can actually trust – he keeps himself at a distance. It's heartbreaking to see the effects this has on Ana, and hell – even Jackson. They have so much coming at them, from so many different angles, both individually and together, it's a wonder they don't get buried under the weight of it all – hell, I almost did. There is absolutely no shortage of angst or drama, danger hides around every corner, twists, secrets & surprises come at you at every turn – each more shocking then the last – and it is all surrounded by the every day chaos that is college life. It was damn exhausting. So many characters to love, with just as many to hate and some that will completely surprise you – and not always in a good way. Dennis proved to be an even bigger source of strength and loyalty – to both Jackson AND Ana – than I could have imagined. Marcus made my skin crawl as well as quite a few others. Briony seriously made me wanna cut a bitch, OFTEN. Elena cracked me up as much as ever. I can see I'm starting to run-on a bit, which I was afraid of, so I'm gonna cut myself off now – I don't want to give too much away. This entire series, and especially THIS book, really needs to be experienced as it comes to fully appreciate it. I know it did. L.A. Cotton has turned me into a freakin fangirl with this series, and a crazy-obsessed one at that, and I love her for it. I CANNOT WAIT to see what she brings us next – and considering the way she likes to leave us hanging onto our sanity by a thread, this book included, I don't imagine the wait will be a patient one. I wouldn't have it any other way.

It's just you and me. Doesn't matter where we are or what's going on around us. You and me. Always.”

Swoon worthy and heart stopping New Adult Romance. L.A is author of the Fate’s Love Series and Chastity Falls Series. Home is a small town in the middle of England where she currently juggles being a full-time mum to two little people with writing. In her spare time (and when she’s not camped out in front of the laptop) you’ll most likely find L. A immersed in a book, escaping the chaos that is life.
