Hell on wheels meets hell in high heels . . .

Macho mechanic Josh Stone likes to get his hands dirty any way he can. Ever since his wife walked out on him and their young son, he’s only had room for two loves: the kid and cars.

While pretending to be his best buddy’s gay lover during a romance writers convention, the player meets the girl who’s gonna rock his world. Leelee Songchild. She blushes at the drop of a hat yet writes hardcore smut to rival Penthouse Forum. To Josh she’s a killer combination. But when the truth comes out all hell breaks loose.

Too bad romance is just for books.

Josh Stone. At your service, babe.”

No way in hell was I ever letting anyone in enough to walk out on me or break the kid's heart again. No way was I going to risk the small slice of a comfortable life I'd carved for us through sheer hard work and long, long hours. But that didn't mean I didn't take care of business.

Josh Stone gave up on the idea of love when his wife disappeared into the night leaving him and their son in the dust without a second thought. A year and a half later and the only involvement he has with women is his weekly one-night stands to take care of business; aside from that, his life revolves around his three year old son JJ, and his garage. He works hard to provide for his son and has no desire to bring another woman into his home just so she can ditch them too. But when he agrees to attend a writers convention with his best friend and best selling paranormal romance author, Nicky Love, two minutes in the presence of redheaded knockout Leelee Songchild knocks the air right outta him and has him thinking things he never expected. There's just one problem... he can't act on it because he is there to be Nicky's fake boyfriend for the week. Josh & Nicky have been best friends most of their lives and Nicky was there for Josh at a time when he needed him the most; he cannot let his best friend down now and risk his career but... he is desperately fighting to find the willpower necessary to stay away from Leelee when all he wants to do is rip her clothes off and keep her by any means possible. When the truth finally does come out, all hell breaks loose leaving a path of destruction in it's wake that they may never recover from.

I walked away, mesmerized by her feminine-fuck-me appearance up to her goddamn adorable face. A killer combination. Full throttle attraction the likes of which I'd never felt made my head spin, my heart speed. And there was no way I could act on it because I'd just signed up for five and a half days of Gaydom at the Rom Con.

I imagine it's not particularly easy for a female author to write from a guy's POV, to really get into his head and have it come out right ~ it can go very wrong and totally screw a story; I have read more than one book where the guy sounds way too feminine, with a few cuss's thrown in, and it just jacks his character. Well let me tell you, that is not the case here. This entire book is told from a man's POV and Rie Warren delivers it fantastically; I never once doubted Stone was all man even when he was acting gay, there was just nothing girly about him. Even as he would get kinda weepy over his kid, there was still a distinct masculinity to him. And he was friggin hilarious! I just loved every damn thing about this book; all of it's characters, the events at the convention, the dialogue and banter, the story within the story, there is just so much to rave about I wouldn't know where to stop. Plus it was sexy-as-hell; the chemistry between Leelee and Josh was insane, the sexy times were smokin' with just the right amount of dirty and it wasn't all coming from Stone which was awesome. I could spend all day explaining how much of a fangirl this book has turned me into but what it all boils down to is GO get this book ~ you will not be disappointed. Just don't expect hearts and flowers; Stone is as Alpha as they come, there is more than enough drama and angst to go with the hilarity, and it is most definitely raunchy without crossing into overkill. I was stoked to see we would be getting Nicky's story next in just a few short months. Rie has definitely landed herself a pretty secure spot on my One-Click Addiction list one laugh and blush at a time with this book and I CANNOT WAIT to see what this series brings us next.

Fuck if I even wanted a thing to change. Leelee was a hurricane-level storm that upended my life, made it chaotic and crazy, and more complete than I'd ever thought possible.

In the fast lane . . .

New York Times bestselling paranormal author, Nicky—Nick—Love is anything but successful in love. This super hot alpha male’s been too busy running from his past and a pack of rabid female fans. Everything comes to a head when he meets the Wildcat of his dreams.
Cool-as-ice Catarina “Wildcat” Steele is utterly untouchable until Nicky ignites a spark she can’t control. Their electric attraction explodes as Nicky pursues her, but he comes bearing the baggage of a family tragedy he’s hidden from everyone. Their passionate romance falls apart when Nicky discovers Cat’s secret rivals his own.
Will they be torn apart . . . or tamed by love?

Wildcat riled me up and made me feel alive like no other woman had.

I have no problem owning up to my reaction when I came across the email showing a new Rie Warren book coming out, especially when I saw it was the next in the Carolina Bad Boys Series....

There is just something about this woman that gets me every time and this series became a fast addiction. What's different about it is the fact that it's told entirely from our badass Alpha man's POV, something I imagine is not easy to do but Rie pulls it off beautifully. These men are crass, dirty, foul, hilarious, hott-as-hell, and yet they have these sweet sides that never cross over to even slightly feminine. They are also not afraid to show emotion when the situation calls for it, they just handle it differently than a woman does which I expect. This book did have a slightly different feel to it from the first one; where book one leaned more on the funny/sexy side with a dash of drama, this one dove into the more serious topic of addiction. That's not to say it was too heavy, or that it ran on angst over-load, but it definitely had a darker feel to it at times as we got up close and personal with Josh's best friend, Paranormal Romance Author ~ Nicky Love...

a woman with a troubled past was a headache I didn't need. I had too many skeletons in my own closet. I didn't have any room for anybody else's.

Nick already went through the man-whore phase of his life and he's over it. That's not to say he's looking for love, he firmly believes the only HEA's he will ever experience are the ones he writes into his books. Nick has some pretty dark secrets from his past that he has kept hidden from everyone, even his long time best friend Josh, shadows that have made the man he is today more than a little leery of letting himself open up too much to another person. But watching Josh and Leelee build a life together makes him realize for the first time that he may be missing out on something; he just doesn't realize how much he may want it til his Wildcat comes storming into his life. Cat is like no one he has ever met before, a tattooed, snarly hellcat of a woman, and she tries her hardest to keep him at a distance. It's clear that she is battling some pretty severe demons of her own but Nick makes it his mission to break down her walls and force her to let him in. The question is- will he be able to handle what he finds on the other side?

I loved that we got to spend some more time with everyone from the first book, plus we got to meet some fascinating new characters that Cat brought along with her-namely, some smokin' hott biker brothers. We got to see first hand the path Josh and Leelee's relationship is taking and I admit, I got a little weepy. Rie also did a bang-up job of feeding my dirty side with some pretty steamy sex scenes, Nick was just... hott damn that boy writes great smut for a reason. The laughs were ever-present with Nick's Hens and their hash-tags, I do love those women. But Nick and Cat really did steal the show, their relationship wasn't easy but nothing worth having ever is. I fell for both of them hard and fast and I cannot wait for glimpses of them in future books to see where they go from here. Rie Warren has definitely secured her spot on my One-Click-Addiction List with this crew and I am more than ready to see what she brings us next with Brodie Steele... there is no telling what that man will do but it is guaranteed to be sinfully fabulous.

Think I've been tamed by Love?”
Not by a long shot darlin'.”
And that's just how I want her.
I won't ever try to tame you, Wildcat.”

What happens at Bike Week stays at Bike Week . . .

Brodie Steele is a badass biker dude. Ashe Kingston is a hot cop with one helluva a ’tude. Their bad blood runs deep but their attraction runs too hot too handle. They make a pact. Sex. No strings attached. One week only. What happens at Bike Week stays at Bike Week. Yeah, right.

Ashe annoys the ever lovin’ hell out of Brodie and turns him on so much he can’t see straight. He keeps coming back for more. Ashe wants no part of Brodie outside of their no-strings-attached fling. But he’s hard to resist with his inked sleeves and rebellious ways, not to mention piercings in places that make Ashe melt. Brodie Steele is dangerous, delicious, and suddenly determined to have her.

Can their hot bond win out over the bad blood of years past? Or will Ashe be taken from Brodie before she lets him into her heart?

★5- The Carolina Boys are at it Again!! -Stars
~this review may contain minor spoilers~

Ashe risked her life for a living, rode a bike like a Hell's Bitch, and carried a gun almost every day. For the first time I was out of my depths, being dragged under, and completely fucking drowning in a woman who gave as good as she got.
Not for long. Brodie Steele had something to prove to Officer Ashe Kingston.

What was that? Another Rie Warren book you say? The Carolina Bad Boys are back?!

Yup, I have the same damn reaction every freakin time this woman bring us a new book, especially one from THIS series. This woman does a male POV like no other and this one was no different. I usually prefer my books to be duel POV just so I have a chance to truly connect with both leads, but Rie does such a fantastic job and is so comfortable in her bad boys heads, that I can't see these books being told any other way. Never once do I feel like I don't really know our leading ladies, and let's be honest-being in these guys heads is just so damn much fun, never once do you question how Alpha-Badass they are. I didn't think it was possible to get any hotter than Nicky Love but boy was I wrong! Brodie was off-the-charts, sexy-as-hell, smokin-hott, tattooed & pierced, melt-your-panties-right-off insanity. And his woman was perfectly matched. Yes, there is a crazy amount of chemistry and hump-your-hubby sex...

but there is so much more than that. The whole crew is back for more chaotic hilarity and there will be drama. Considering this book involves a female police officer, and the VP of an MC-drama just kinda comes with the territory. But Rie does a fabulous job of balancing everything out, keeping you glued to the pages from start to finish. The pace doesn't let up, with so many fascinating characters to keep up with your constantly on the look out for what's to come next and it gives me high hopes for future books as well. If Ms. Warren hadn't already slammed her way onto my One-Click-Addiction List long ago, then this book would have certainly done it one drool, blush and giggle at a time. Cannot wait to see what she brings us next.

I want to be buried inside you. I want to be somebody to you. I want you to respect me. I want breakfasts, and fights, and finding out how annoying you can really be.”
That's not really something to say when you're fucking me”
“I know. Because I'm not fucking you. I am making love to you. Here and now. I am not your fling or weekend hookup. I... am... making love to you.”

With a Heart Forged in Steele

Boomer Steele is big. He’s bad. He’s the Retribution MC pres. He’s been dealt the worst hand imaginable and bears the scars inside and out. Not that anyone knows it. He’s watched his younger brother and sister hook up and hitch up with the loves of their lives, and now he’s the last Steele standing alone. Maybe he should keep it that way.

Then one feisty honey makes him feel, gets in his grill, pisses him off.

She goes by the name of Rayce. And that’s exactly what she does on her motocross bike when she’s not busy getting her hands dirty with her fellow grease monkeys as the only female mechanic at Stone’s Garage. She’s into fixing bikes, racing hers, and making Boomer’s life a living hell just for the fun of it. Oh, and she hates being treated like a girl.

Sparks flying? That’s an understatement where these two are concerned. Yet when Rayce needs a place to live, and Boomer offers her a room in his house, their unquenchable attraction wins out over antagonism. Sometimes. Rayce’s crappy upbringing makes her think love is for stupid fools asking for heartbreak. She’s not willing to go there for any man.
Not even Boomer Steele.

The bigger they are, the harder they fall.
