Zeke Powers should’ve come with a warning label.

He was hot.

He was sexy.

And he was a bad boy through and through.

The things he said to me had me blushing and my toes curling.

But he was someone I totally didn’t need walking into my life, screwing up the plans I’d made and turning my world upside down.

Although I’d been living a no-frills, no-fun existence, I felt it was necessary to get where I was going. Keep your eye on the prize and all that.

But Zeke was determined to prove to me that what I desired most—him—was just what I needed.

New adult. Not recommended for readers under 17.

4- Quick, Sweet, and Sexy -Stars

~this review may contain minor spoilers~

I couldn't help but wonder why he was hitting on me when he had women falling all over him everywhere? Was I just someone else to add to his entourage? Nope. Not going to happen. I decided right then to ix-nay my usting-lay when it came to him and get my friggin' head back on track.

Let me start by saying that I haven't read the first book in this series.... yet, but that didn't seem to be too much of an issue-this book read like a stand-alone. With that said, I WILL be downloading book one now cause dayum these brothers are HOTT! And there are FOUR of them!! But I digress-on to Zeke and Scarlett (LOVE the names BTW). I had a love/hate relationship with this book at times. Most of the time I loved it, Zeke was sweet, caring, sexy & dirty-not to mention hott. And the boy was persistent! He knew what he wanted and went after it, period. No one was gonna stand in his way-not even Scarlett herself. Now Scarlett was a whole other ballgame. I understood her and where she was coming from, I truly did. She had to sacrifice a lot in her young life for her family, but she did what she had to do to take care of her teen aged brother and aging Grammy (both of whom I adored). She's strong, feisty, funny, hard-working and loyal. She has been burned in the past so I understood her reluctance to open her heart again.... however, she did frustrate the ever-lovin hell outta me at times. This girl took the crown for jumping to conclusions and running away with her assumptions like no one I have seen before. It caused a lot of unnecessary drama and frankly, she hurt Zeke with it a few times. Now, he wasn't totally innocent. He did make some dumbass choices and seemed oblivious to the clingy chicks surrounding him, which understandably would cause some issues with his insecure girl-but Scarlett absolutely went overboard with her reactions. Still, it was a sweet romance full of amazing characters, lots of laughs and some hott sexy time. This was a relatively quick read, I had it done in one day, and with the exception of the epilogue it's told entirely from Scarlett's POV-I do wish we could have spent more time in Zeke's head, it would have made it a little easier to connect to him. But all in all, even with a few frustrations, I really did love the story and am very much looking forward to more from these hott ass brothers.

I liked to be in control. I needed to know exactly what would happen next. And I really did not like surprises.
But Zeke was turning out to be a total surprise and then some.

Gable (The Powers That Be #1)
Released December 2014

Gable Powers had all the makings of everything my father had ever warned me about: a reputation that was anything but stellar, a dirty mouth that had me shivering at the things he uttered in my ear, and a body (oh, God, that body) that was covered in tattoos, all of which added up to a solid ten-point-oh on the bad-boy scale.

The first time I met him, I instantly loathed him.

The second time was even worse.

He was a jerk. He was an ass.

He had secrets.

He was nothing I thought I ever wanted.

So why couldn’t I resist him?

New adult. Not recommended for readers under 17.
