Title: My Beloved (Thin Love novella, #1.5)
Author: Eden Butler
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: December 8, 2014

Synopsis

Keira Riley was the girl Kona Hale loved first, the woman he wants to love last. They’ve battled addiction, forgiven betrayal and healed from heartache, coming through it all bruised but hopeful that their future will be limitless.

Kona Hale was a blinding flame that Keira Riley gladly burned inside—his touch, his kiss, his overwhelming love, all made her dizzy, desperate and desired, made her believe in a love worth bleeding for, a love that ignites the heart with an unquenchable flame. But when you fall in love with an NFL darling who can’t seem to let go of the spotlight, sometimes even that flame can be gutted by the buffeting winds of opportunity, can be lost behind the brilliant flash of fame.

As Keira and Kona get caught up in plans for an extravagant march down the aisle, the hard won sanctuary they've found in each other's arms begins to erode. Will they be able to see through all the beckoning glitz and glamour to what they have worked so hard to build together, or will their love be lost in the spotlight?

MY BELOVED is a novella set prior to the THIN LOVE epilogue.

My Beloved - Excerpt

“Kiss me, baby. Kiss me like you mean it.” And Keira obliged, tugging at the back of Kona’s hair, taking in his tongue, loving the small bites he made against her bottom lip. “Shit. No, I don’t wanna come yet.” And then he slipped out of her, moved down her body until he was between her legs, using his thumbs to push apart her lips. “I love the way you taste, Wildcat. So sweet, so tangy.” He licked up her folds, lapping all the moisture their bodies had created before he took her clit between his teeth, nibbling, licking until Keira thought she might die from the sensation Kona worked in her. “This is mine, isn’t it, baby? All this,” he said, fingering her suddenly, not preparing her so that the shock and the pressure of his touch left Keira shuddering. “These perfect lips, this pretty pussy, it’s all for me, right baby?”

“Yes. Oh God, Kona, only yours.”

He climbed over her, dragging those hard, delicious muscles up her torso, rubbing himself against her sensitive nipples before he grabbed her face, making her look at him. “And this…” a twist of his hips and Kona slammed back into her, thrusts deep, penetrating, “this is yours. This is only yours.” Another deep thrust and Kona groaned, echoed the satisfied noise Keira made when he hit her G-spot. “I…I gave you this a long time ago, baby.” And then Kona worked faster, lifted on his hands, massive biceps and triceps shaking as moved his hips, filled her, eyes closed and that severe expression, the one that looked like hunger and pain and pleasure that was almost overwhelming, returned to his face. “All yours, baby. I’ve always been yours.”

5- The Rocky Road to an HEA -Stars
~this review may contain minor spoilers~

The years of loneliness had disappeared in four short months and Kiera and Kona were finally there together, the past misplaced in the happiness their new lives brought them.

After nearly two decades, Kiera and Kona are finally back where they belong ~ in each others arms, and they couldn't be happier. The road to their happy hasn't been easy, there were more than a few bumps along the way and they spent more time apart than together ~ but for a love like theirs, it's worth the struggles. Now they are starting to adjust from the kids they used to be to the adults they are now, mainly the battle with constant media attention; but that is what comes with NFL fame. Kiera has never been one to like being the center of attention so constantly being thrust into the spotlight is more than a little uncomfortable for her, but for Kona- she will adjust. Kona on the other hand revels in the public eye; he seeks it out, thrives in it, can't get enough of it, and it just may cost him everything. As they prepare for the wedding of the century, Kiera finds herself being lost in the shuffle and Kona is so blinded by the spotlight he doesn't even see it. As everything they have built together starts to unravel, secrets will be revealed, tears will be shed and Kona has to decide once and for all what is most important to him before it's too late.

All her other time was spent on the wedding, the family, Kona being the center of attention; Kona lapping it up like he needed it to survive.
Like she was just an afterthought not worthy of his time.

When I read Thin Love, it was clear right from the start that the love these two share is all-consuming, sometimes painful, often intense, never easy but always worth it. Their journey has been hard, but it makes their reunion that much sweeter ~ that's not to say that they don't still struggle. Kona still lives with the regret of missing so much of his son's life and tries his best to be everything Kiera needs... unfortunately, he sometimes falls short. He is so focused on trying to give her everything he feels she deserves that he doesn't see it may not be what she wants or needs-all Kiera really wants in Kona, just Kona. When you love someone so intensely, it makes your troubles hurt that much more and with everything Kiera has gone through in life she spends a lot of her time trying to prepare for the bad instead of just relaxing in the good. I get why she feels that way, I just wish she was able to completely give herself over to her happiness. When I first saw this surprise of a book come across my email, my initial reaction was an over-the-top happy dance; more Kona & Kiera?! HELL YEAH!! I was stoked. But within the first few pages I realized it wasn't going to be all sunshine and flowers, that just wouldn't be the norm for these two ~ everything worth having comes at a price and no one knows this better than them. There will be tears, there will be giggles, you will scream once or twice and you will most definitely drool and swoon. But in the end, if you loved them as much as I did in 'Thin Love', than this will be frosting on the cake, hard earned frosting to be sure, but sweetness none the less. I adore that we got a chance to spend a little more time in their lives and witness a love like no other. I know it seems that I may be waxing poetic but I just can't help it ~ I really did love both these books, the good and the bad, and everyone in them. Now the wait begins for Ransom's book, I CANNOT WAIT to see what he has in store for us.

I promise to put you first, to always remember that you are my breath, you are what makes all the bad disappear. You always have been baby. God knows you always will be.”
