Meet Charlotte and Nathan!
ONLY $0.99

Charlotte and Nathan were supposed to be forever. They grew up together. Their families were intertwined. Charlotte was Nathan's first love. Nathan was Charlotte's first everything.
Until they weren't.
How do you hold on to the person you know in your heart you are supposed to be with when everything and everyone in the universe is telling you it's over?
How many times does a heart break?
When is enough…..enough?
How long is forever?

Barnes & Noble:

But when I close my eyes, I can see him—and me. I can see me pressed up against the mirror in the bathroom, my hands making starfish prints as I brace myself against his thrusts. I can hear his harsh breathing, his commands to come, come now, Charlotte. There was that passage of time that felt endless when he was between my legs, licking me softly and leisurely as if there wasn’t anything in this world that gave him more pleasure than helping me find my own. I touch myself, but it’s useless. My body wants one thing: Nathan Jackson.
I’m on fire and the ache of want is so acute it’s like a knife in my chest. I’ve had multiple surgeries, chemo treatments, radiation but that’s nothing compared to what I feel now.
Time and distance had dulled my pain and that my desire and love for Nathan had actually started to ease only to be stoked into high, hot flames by his reappearance in my life.
He is the poison and the antidote.

We're family and no matter what he gives to the other girls in his life, I'll always mean something to him. I should be satisfied with that.
I should be, but I'm not.

Every once in awhile I come across a new author (well, new to me at least) who immediately knocks me on my ass, turns my world on it's end and leaves a lasting impression-with the immense amount of books I read, that is not easily done. Jen Frederick has just landed herself on that very short list with this book.

Nothing could have prepared me for the journey I was about to take with these people. From the blurb I was expecting your typical 'lifelong friends turned lovers' story... there is nothing typical about this. Sweet and caring-sure. Hott as hell steamy-you bet your ass it was. Devastating, emotional, gutwrenching, fear inducing-you could say that. But typical?! Not a chance in hell.

Just remember that it's not just your relationship that will get screwed. It's my friendship. It's our families' connections.”
Yeah I got it.” the steel in my voice sinks in, and Nick stops hassling me. But he's not wrong. If I hurt Charlotte, I hurt us all.

Charlotte grew up with Nate and Nick, they have been in each others lives since birth. Next door neighbors, family, their parents are the best of friends and business partners, they have just always been a closely knit group. While Nick and Charlotte grew to be best friends, Nate-who was two years older- took on the role of protector. Until Charlotte turned fifteen and Nate starting developing feelings he didn't understand and frankly, scared him. With young love growing between them, they knew they had to be careful- there was so much at risk if things didn't work out. But in their hearts they knew, they were meant for each other. Unfortunately, the outside world and powers beyond their control seemed to constantly get in the way. Heartbreak seemed inevitable, loyalties are tested, time was against them, but the love they had for each other was always present-even when it wasn't enough.

The book is broken down into two parts and I have to say, though both were full of turmoil, the first part was the hardest. Along with everything else these two faced, it was mixed up with teenage hormones and immaturity. So many times Nate would make these dumbass, seemingly small decisions, that I was left in constant tension wondering which one would blow up in his face. But Charlotte burned brightest for me. That girl would prove to be level-headed, loyal to a fault, and blissfully unaware of what was headed her way. She handled herself with more maturity than most, she didn't jump to conclusions or make assumptions about the rumors the stuck-up rich bitches at her prep school spread around without taking it out with Nate first. She really was an exceptional girl. Nate would take more time to win me over simply because of the sheer amount of time the dude lived with his head up his ass causing Charlotte immeasurable pain during a time in her life when she simply needed him by her side.

My internal emotions are at war with each other. There's regret for all the shit I put her through; resolve for how I'm going to make up for it; and craving to have her a million times and a million times more.

While the second part also had it's fair share of tears, it also held the healing and a shit-ton of smokin' hott sex-there was some seriously steamy and explosive scenes in here that even had me blushing and I'm an admitted pervert. I met and loved a wide variety of fantastic secondary characters all while clinging to the hope that these two can finally find some true happiness. It really was an amazing ride that will capture you right from the start and hold on to every last ounce of your attention through to the end. As this is listed as book one I can only hope to see more of this group in the future and I cannot wait to see where we go from here.

Doesn't he know that Charlotte is mine? That she's been mine since the day she was born? Time, distance, separation, none of that will sever our bond. None of it.
