The first book in a sensational New Adult trilogy from Noelle August

Welcome to, the dating site for the millennial gen with its no-fuss, no-commitments matchups, and where work is steamier than any random hook-up

Mia Galliano is an aspiring filmmaker. Ethan Vance has just played his last game as a collegiate soccer star. They’re sharp, hungry for success, and they share a secret.

Last night, Ethan and Mia met at a bar, and, well . . . one thing led to another, which led to them waking up the next morning—together. Things turned awkward in a hurry when they found themselves sharing a post hookup taxi . . . to the same place: Boomerang headquarters.

What began as a powerful connection between them is treated to a cold shower courtesy of two major complications. First, Boomerang has a strict policy against co-worker dating. And second, they’re now competitors for only one job at the end of summer.

As their internships come to an end, will they manage to keep their eyes on the future and their hands off each other, or will the pull of attraction put them right back where they started?

*****5+ -Fab, Fun, Sexy & Frustrating- Stars*****
~this review may contain minor spoilers~

~This book was freakin fantastic, I loved every damn thing about it. The characters were fabulous, the chemistry off the charts, angst and drama in abundance, tear inducing frustration, and it was funny as hell. Just perfect~

This girl showed up in my life less than twenty-four hours ago. I've slept with her. I've shared a cab with her and given her my dress shirt to wear. But this new situation is a game-changer.
Officially, Mia is now my competition.

When Mia Galliano and Ethan Vance met at Drake's Bar, the connection was instant-lust at a fever pitch. After a long frisky night of booze and losing clothes, they wake up together and rush off to work in a shared cab. Their morning after awkwardness is the least of their concerns when they realized that fate is a funny bitch. Not only are they both starting their first day at, but they are both interns vying for the same position at summers end. Becoming each others only competition is a quick way to douse the flames of attraction, and the company's strict 'no dating co-workers' policy seals the deal. Spending so much time together on a daily basis does little to help them fight their attraction; can they keep their eyes on the prize and their hands to themselves or will the tension cause an explosion neither are prepared for?

I'm here for the job, I reminded myself. Not the guy. I couldn't even remember his name an hour ago, and now I'm pouting because he wants to focus on his work? This is better. This makes it all that much easier to crush him.
Um, I mean earn this fantastic opportunity on the basis of my merits.

This book had me hooked right from the opening chapter.
Mia is definitely a unique woman, if not a little insecure- but learning her back story fills in the blanks on why. All the woman really wants is a man who wants her for who she is and isn't afraid to show it. She caring, funny, and artistic, with a deep love for her family and surrounded by a fantastic group of friends who are all unique in their own right, and she isn't afraid to prance around naked.
Ethan's last relationship left him slightly jaded, which was understandable, but he doesn't let it define him. He is an extremely generous, kind, loyal, compassionate, and caring man with a mean competitive streak who loves working with kids. I will admit, the lengths he went to to keep Mia at a distance bordered on asshat territory at times, but he eventually makes it up to her.
Their co-workers at Boomerang were a riot, their families and fiends were no less hilarious. But the laughs helped to balance out the hurt- the angst stretched out for most of the book and broke my heart a time or two.
And with so very many wonderful characters, I CANNOT WAIT to see where this series takes me next-it will be a rollarcoaster for sure. Noelle August has hit it out of the park with this book and will be a resident on my 'One-Click Addiction' list for a long time to come.

I guess we're supposed to check in with HR, fill out some paperwork, surrender our firstborn. That sort of thing.”
Crap, I already surrendered my firstborn at the last job. Do you have a spare?”
He grins at me. “How would I have a spare firstborn?”
Oh, fine, you're going to drag logic into the conversation?”

NOELLE AUGUST is an anagram for Veronica Rossi and Lorin Oberweger. Just kidding, it's a pen name!

VERONICA ROSSI is the author of the New York Times Best-selling UNDER THE NEVER SKY trilogy for young adults. The books are available in more than thirty countries and the film rights have been optioned by Warner Bros. Veronica completed undergraduate studies at UCLA and lives in Northern California with her husband and two sons. She is fond of dresses with pockets, fluffy dogs, and cheese and chocolate -- but not together.

LORIN OBERWEGER began her storytelling career by captivating her first-grade class with tales of her summers on a kibbutz in Israel. Lorin had never been to Israel. While teacher/parent night put an end to her first experiments in fiction, she’d already caught the bug and eventually made a career of all things story. As a long-time independent editor and story development guru, Lorin's client successes range from small press publications to major bestselling novels. She's an award-winning author and has also worked behind the scenes as a ghostwriter on a variety of projects. Her work has received starred Kirkus reviews and glowing mentions in The New York Times. Oh, she did get to see a kibbutz, eventually, and found out she had it pretty much right all along.

Veronica and Lorin met at a writing workshop and just knew they were destined to create awesome things together.
