About FIX YOU, Bash and Olivia Book One (The McDaniels Brothers, #1)
Olivia Beckett’s once-charmed life is falling apart. Her family is about to lose everything, and she has almost no chance of continuing her college education. She can't even seek solace from her high school sweetheart. He's changed. She doesn't recognize the boy she used to know— his violent behavior is escalating and it scares the hell out of her. Her whole world is crumbling, and she has no one to turn to……
Sebastian “Bash” McDaniels is an up and comer in the boxing world working nights at the local college bar until he can land the fight of his dreams that will get him the hell out of Boston and away from his family's tragic past. He’s weeks from his goal when Olivia Beckett comes tumbling into his life in a flash of silky dark hair and haunted eyes. When he saves her from a potentially brutal beating, they begin to grow close, but Olivia's ex isn’t ready to let her go so easily.
Bash can't bring himself to walk away, but fixing Olivia just might leave him broken…

Olivia wasn't a fun party girl who wanted me to make her come and leave the next morning with a smile. Olivia was wounded. And when two people with issues came together, shit got fucked up. If my parents taught me anything, it was that. Getting close to this girl would leave its mark.
I don't remember self-defense ever being like that. At this time, I would like to give a huge Thank You to Christine Bell for bringing the McDaniels brothers into my life- and I've only met two of them so far, there is still another one running around out there. These boys are gonna be bad for my sanity, I just know it, but it will be sooo worth it. While this book was a bit shorter than I was expecting, the good news is- we will be getting another installment in just one month. In fact, we should be getting a new book once every month til the McDaniels saga finds it's end. I am very much looking forward to losing myself in this family for the foreseeable future. But for now, lets talk about Bash & Olivia shall we?
Odd how in that moment I noticed the strangest, most minute details, like everything had been amplified by a thousand. The way his skin smelled of clean sweat and sports-scented deodorant. The clenched tightness of his stubbled jaw that belied the concern in his crystal blue eyes. The way he never even looked down at bleeding Andy to see if he would get back up and fight. It was like nothing else mattered, except for me.
Olivia Beckett's life is very quickly taking a nose dive and she has no one to turn to. Her family is facing financial ruin and she has no idea why but has a sinking feeling her parents are hiding something big from her. Her life-long friend/now boyfriend, Adam, is changing into someone she hardly recognizes in a very bad way. When a night out with him takes a turn for the terrifying, she's rescued by one of the bartenders, Sebastian McDaniels, and she just knows her life will never be the same.
When I saw her up close for the first time, I’d wanted to tuck her into my chest and hold her tight. To tell her that everything was going to be all right. To touch her skin because it looked so goddamned soft and sweet. I felt the same way this time.
Which was how I knew right off that bat that I needed to stay far, far away. I couldn’t afford to get stuck on a girl right now.
Bash doesn't have time to get wrapped up in a girl right now, his focus has to remain on his training. He's a boxer, with the biggest fight of his life just months away, the fight that will launch his career and get him the hell outta Boston with all it's bad memories. But something about Olivia draws him in and he can't turn away, no matter how much he should. When she asks him for self-defense lessons, he knows it's a bad idea, but he's unable to tell her no. Getting involved with one another is not one either one of them needs but both desperately want and with chemistry like theirs, how long can they fight it?
He held the door open for me and I stepped through, feeling a little like Alice down the rabbit hole. Which was weird. Nothing had actually happened yet. I was a girl letting a boy walk her home. No big deal. Except it was. Some part of me knew the second we started moving, our strides oddly in sync with each others, that this was more than nothing. That if I didn't bow out now and make up some excuse to run away, this guy was going to change everything.
This book was fast-paced, frustrating, sexy as hell and in the end it left me screaming what?! Why?! This author left me in a tailspin, salivating for more-it's a good thing I don't have to wait too long for the next book or she would have a crazy stalker on her hands ;)
The pull between us was too strong, the connection too deep, right from the start. I had no doubt that, someway, somehow, the two of us were going to ruin each other.
The only question now was if we’d each be able to pick up the pieces when it was over.
