Title: Blood Haze
Author: LR Potter
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Published: February 10th 2014
Overwhelming, all-consuming, and intense were the words which described Arabella Mark’s relationship with Lynx Rogan. Which should have made what they had… magical. But both Arabella and Lynx have secrets they desperately want to keep from each other - she has glimpses of past and future events… and he is a vampire.
She had dreamt of him, had seen his dark, sultry eyes which seemed to pierce her very soul. He’d set strict limits to what they shared, which only caused her to want him more. Lynx, on the other hand, had already learned the heartache of having a relationship with a human and tried to maintain some distance. But when Arabella is attacked by another vampire, all his self-imposed rules are thrown away.
It all comes to a head on the night of the Blood Haze. Will Lynx be able to save her and what they have, or will their differences prove to be what ends them?

fate was a fickle bitch and no matter what you did to change it, the end result always came out the same.
Every time I pick up another book from LR Potter, I fall just a little more in love with her writing and she has outdone herself in this one. This book sucked me in right from the beginning and refused to let go. My emotions were all over the place- from gut wrenching sadness to fear to panty dropping lust -sometimes all at once, it really was a wild ride that I didn't want to get off of.
But sometimes... sometimes, she felt as if some integral part of her was missing... as if she were just waiting for something... or someone. Her reoccurring glimpses of an elusive man didn't help either. She could feel him, but his shadowy features were never revealed to her – just those piercing eyes. She never was sure what that meant.
Arabella Marks has not had it easy in life, growing up she was treated as an outcast, she can count her friends on one hand, and the only family she has left is her brother Ian. But the thing that really isolates her from everyone else is the gift she inherited from her mother, only she doesn't really see it as a gift. She has visions, glimpses, of the past and future, usually involving herself or the people she meets in her day to day life....all except for one man. For as long as she can remember, she has had reoccurring glimpses of him, she never sees his face, just his eyes, but she would recognize those eyes anywhere. So imagine her surprise when she meets the man with the eyes.
Hopefully she'd be able to avoid him until she was stronger. She knew she was being melodramatic, but he... he drained her and stirred her up in a way she didn't understand... didn't want to understand, and she really, really couldn't deal with that right now.
Lynx Rogan is drawn to Arabella from the minute he lays eyes on her. He wants her, of that he is certain, but she can never know what he truly is... a vampire. He tries his level best to keep her at a distance, he has learned the hard way the devastation that comes with getting involved with a human.
he'd sworn on that agonizing day, when he'd been filled with such rage and heartache that he'd never again become involved with another human. The cost was just too great. Ever since then, he used humans for his own pleasures, then gladly walked away... until Arabella.
The more time he spends around her, the more he wants her, he just doesn't want to risk his heart again in the process. But when Arabella nearly loses her life after being attacked by a vampire, he can avoid her no longer. He tells himself he is just trying to protect her, but deep down he knows it's more than that-he just refuses to admit it.
She wasn't made for the type of relationship he needed to have with her. He wanted her desperately, wanted to feed from her continuously, but he couldn't endure what he'd gone through with Celeste.
Arabella cannot get Lynx out of her head. She wants him with a desperation shes never felt before, but she doesn't want him to know about her visions-she has spent her life labeled a freak because of them and can't handle getting that from him too. The problem is, shes finding it increasingly difficult to ignore his seductive charms. Not to mention the fact that Lynx has laid strict limits on what kind of relationship they could have, and she doesn't know if she has it in her to give him what he wants from her, and nothing more.
“You have to understand, this is what we will have. I'm not looking for a relationship. You have to agree to that upfront. Once we start this, there will be no turning back. If I do this, you are mine until I say otherwise. You understand? There can be no others. You will be mine... for my pleasures only... for as long as I say. Yes?”
What they share is intense and all-consuming, but secrets can't stay buried forever and on the night of the Blood Haze things take a turn Lynx never saw coming and threaten everything that have become.
There really was so much to love about this book. The chemistry between Lynx & Arabella was off the charts-some seriously steamy stuff in here, there were threats of all kinds coming from different directions, Arabella's life was one tragedy after another-it's a wonder shes survived it all, when her visions hit they just added to the suspense. But the ending did me in, gutted me, left me screaming WHAT?! WHY?! Fortunately, I've learned I only have to wait a couple of months to see what happens next. I will be climbing the walls, and probably stalking the poor author, till I can get my greedy little hands on the next book. LR Potter-you have ROCKED MY WORLD with this book and I'm looking forward to you doing it again... and again... and again...
oh, and Kudos on all the wicked character names, they were friggin AWESOME!!
He wanted nothing more than to lay her down and pound the hell out of her, while he drank just as frantically from her body. He knew it would be heaven to be able to do that, but he just couldn't bring himself to do it.
Anguish gripped her insides. Could she really do this? Be a part of something so volatile? It seemed she had no choice. She wanted him too much. How was this possible? She barely knew him. It didn't seem to matter. It was almost as if she didn't have any control over her own being. She craved him with everything inside her.
