A fresh start…
Determined to have a life of her own, Victoria Weiss flees the safe haven of New Berlin on the planet Mars by accepting an internship on the most remote space station in the solar system. Being the daughter of the Great German ambassador isn’t all glitter and glamour, and Tori needs a fresh start away from her overbearing parents.
But running away from your past isn’t easy when you’ve hidden away the darkest parts. Tori hasn’t trusted men ever since a sexual encounter that left her soul scarred, and when the station’s Chief of Security shows an interest in her, she feels torn between running away from him and allowing herself to open up to new possibilities.
A troubled past…
The last thing Alen Novak expects is to lose his head over an Elite girl. But when Tori Weiss walks into his life, he can’t help but feel she’s different from the Great German leaders who effectively destroyed his Croatian homeland during the Great Wars in Europe. Even though he is the station’s Security Chief, Alen doesn’t command the respect of all his colleagues because of his prison past – and he’s afraid Tori will dismiss him for it right out of the gate. After all, he’s been hurt by a woman he loved before.
Fanning the flames of passion…
There’s no way to avoid working together, though, and the two are irresistibly drawn to each other. Will Tori and Alen learn how to face their darkest fears, or will the past nip their passionate love in the bud?
A sweet, steamy romance for lovers of New Adult with a hint of Futuristic.

“I hide behind my anger. But the fear and the hurt don't go away.”
“You're safe with me. Don't hide.”
Confession time...I am a closet Sci-Fi junkie-there, it's out. And when there is hott space sex thrown in the mix?! Even Better!!
So...with that said-let me introduce you to Make You See Stars.
In a way, leaving Mars had been tough, but it had also been a relief. It was the start of a new life-a life she'd claim as her own.
Victoria Weiss (Tori) is the daughter of the Great German Ambassador on Mars. Being a well known member of the Elite, she has grown up in the public eye-forced to dress and act a certain way, only allowed to date or make friends with those her parents deem 'worthy' her entire life. She's more than ready to break away and make a life of her own, her own way, free to be herself without constant pressure from her parents. When she's offered an internship in the Astrobiology dept. on Desida Two (a space station in Saturn's orbit) as part of a team mapping all of Saturn's moons-she jumps at the chance. Moving as far from her controlling parents as she can get, she's ready to live her life free of the heavy expectations that come from being her parents daughter and immediately runs into the intimidating Alen Novak, who pegs her as a spoiled rich bitch the minute she steps foot off the ship.
“Not the best guy to be around,” Shirley said. “He was in jail for six years before getting a job here. Smuggling, theft, fraud, you name it.”
Tori gaped at her. “How on Mars did he end up here, then? Is Desida Two running an outreach program for ex-cons?”
“I've been told he took up several studies in prison to educate himself so he'd have a future by the time he got out. He's a genius -he speaks, like, ten languages, he's crazy good at mathematics...”
“I think he knew people who knew people on this station,” Anna added. “That's how he got a job and a promotion in no time. He's our Chief of Security.”
Alen Novak hates the Elite, especially the Germans-who are responsible for destroying his home world during the war. After losing his family, growing up in a orphanage, getting involved with some shady business men, and spending some time in jail, he is turning his life around. Now Chief of Security on Desida Two, he struggles to separate from his past-everyone knows about it, gossips about it, some refuse to listen to him or respect his position despite his accomplishments since getting out....and the Elite are the worst of them. So when he sees the prim and proper Ambassador's daughter land on his station, he's quick to judge her. When their jobs force them to work together, he quickly realizes his snap judgment is way off base and she is nothing like the other members of the Elite...he's intrigued and can't shake her from his mind. Both are drawn to each other but both are fighting demons from their past as well as judgment from their society and Tori's parents.
“I don't want to sneak around. I want to walk around with you, holding hands. I want to kiss you on Saturn Boulevard and not give a rat's ass about what people think. I want my mom to accept you, and I'm so afraid she won't.”
“Don't worry, draga. We'll figure it out.”
The story starts off a little slowly but that's simply because you jumping into a world that's completely unknown-world building requires details and an environment like this means twice as many of them. However, I didn't find it overwhelming and it doesn't take long for the story to pick up it's pace. There was a tiny hint of insta-love going on (once they got past the fighting and misunderstandings anyway), which normally drives me insane, but in wasn't too in your face so I was okay with it. In the end, it was a sweet and sexy read that held my attention quite well all the way to the end. Alen was much cuter and charming than I was expecting. I'm usually a rough and tumble Alpha kinda girl, but it worked for him. Oh & I loved their taste in music!! I look forward to reading more from this author and this series.
“You won't scare me off. You made me see stars, and now I'm here to make you see the truth. You are a wonderful, sweet, and gentle person, and I'm not going anywhere. I can't.”
