Ever since the dawn of days, rumors about the Diary of Lucifer echoed throughout Elysium.
Hidden from all human knowledge, the Diary was kept a secret, locked away in the small village of Agalmath.
Isaac and Demetre find themselves in a dangerous journey as they uncover the truth about the Diary and its guardians. However, for Isaac and Demetre, danger lies at every step, hidden in the most unexpected places.
Hunted by the Nephilins and the Fallen Stars, they must find others who will join them in the battle against the coming darkness.

“Right now the only thing you need to be concerned about is gathering food and supplies. We are going on a journey and trust me-we have no idea when we will be coming back.”
That was intense. From start to finish this book did not slow down. It was almost too much....almost.
“Dead? Those things cannot die, Isaac. They are Fallen Stars. They may vanish when touched by a blade but die, that's impossible for their kind. They quickly come back and that is why we must go.”
We jump into action right from the beginning when Isaac and Demetre, lifelong friends, wake from their own separate nightmares and find their worlds falling apart. Their parents have vanished without a trace and in their search of them they come across a man on a horse named Cyro, only this is no ordinary man and he is clearly NOT an ally. Under attack from a force they have no hopes of defeating, they are rescued by a man named Devin.
“Why do you keep protecting them, Devin? What is your gain in all this? You know you were born from one of us. There is no redemption for you,” Cyro calmly spoke.
“You know there is always a choice, Cyro, even if I am damned regardless.”
It doesn't take long to realize Devin is not quite human either but he does seem to want to help them, so they flee into the night with him. This is when they find out who they truly are as Devin explains they war they have just become a part of. As the only living blood descendants of the council, those that guard the diary of Lucifer, their blood is the key to opening the book thus putting Isaac and Demetre in the cross-hairs of the Fallen Stars. They journey they find themselves on is dangerous and full of creatures they've never encountered before, certain death and deception lie around every corner as they become the hunted.
“When one dies without knowing light and darkness they cannot cross over to Tristar, so they become Shadows-insane, uncontrollable souls, with an unexplainable urge to kill anything that stands in their path. They do not have a mind of their own and are controlled by the Fallen Stars.”
It is impossible for me to try to summarize any further, there is so much revealed throughout the story that you really just have to take it as it comes. The tale that J.D. Netto weaves is intricate and really quite expansive, it was an incredible journey. I would suggest you don't dive into this unless you can completely devote yourself to the book, everything happens so fast and there is so much going on, it's easy to get lost if you're not fully paying attention. What an amazing debut by this author and I cannot wait to see what he comes up with next.
Isaac Khan: Born and raised in the village of Agalmath, Isaac is the main protagonist in the series. His parents, Diane and Dustin Khan were members of the Council chosen to protect the Diary. They fled the Council once they discovered Athalas had sold his soul to Lucifer. Isaac is now the bearer of the Diary of Lucifer.
Demetre Aliward: Isaac’s best and most loyal friend. Demetre also lost his parents on the day Isaac discovered the Diary. During their journey throughout Elysium, Demetre discovers a dark truth about himself and his own family.
Devin: He fled the hiding place of the Nephilins in Byllith, seeking refuge within the Council. Devin fights against the evil that runs through his veins since birth. He possesses the ability to communicate and command certain animal species.
Adawnas: She also sought refuge with the Council. Adawnas first encountered Isaac and Demetre on the day Devin led them to meet Athalas, the head of the Council. After discovering the Council’s dark secrets, Adawnas joined Isaac and the others on their journey.
Nephele: The first human to be turned into a Nephilin. Nephele was seduced by Mordred, a Fallen Star, and bore a Nephilin child named Duane. She is one of Lucifer’s most loyal servants. She has the ability to control and attack an enemy by striking pain throughout the body.
Music played a very important role during the writing process for The Whispers of the Fallen. Being a musician myself, music has always helped me dig deeper into certain moments while writing, enabling me to better understand each character and moment. I even wrote a song called A Melody for the Fallen.

About the Author...
J.D.Netto (Jorge de Oliveira Netto) is brazilianborn.
Raised in Framingham, MA, J.D.Netto always had an eye for epic fantasy and storytelling. At an early age, he had the habit of locking himself in his room, turning on any soundtrack he could find, and there he would write for hours.
During his senior year in High School, J.D.Netto had an idea that changed his life, 'What if Lucifer had a Diary? What if the Diary was a secret? What if the secret was a reality?' These simple questions led him to write for six consecutive years, researching, perfecting his craft, and creating the world of Elysium. All the promotional visuals of the novel, including the cover, were designed by J.D.Netto, proving that he is not only a writer, but an innovative visual designer.
The Author will be giving away four paperback books during the tour.
